St. Clair frequently tries to include anecdotes of how she was taken with Musk at the start of their admittedly strange courtship which involved meeting his mother and having her son from a previous relationship go on playdates with Musk's kids.
One way St. Clair reciprocated the affections of Donald Trump's 'First Buddy' was allegedly designing him the gothic remix of the infamous 'Make America Great Again' hat that Musk wore all over the campaign trail. The Tesla and SpaceX boss debuted the new hat in October 2024 at the Butler Farm Show grounds in Pennsylvania, where Trump survived an assassination attempt three months ago.
Musk donned a black MAGA hat, in contrast to the usual red, and quipped 'I'm not just MAGA, I'm Dark gothic MAGA' as he spoke to the crowd. He carried on wearing versions of it to Trump's infamous New York rally and even his infamous chainsaw-wielding CPAC speech with Argentina President Javier Millei, as a pregnant St. Clair looked on from a distance.
