According to Elon Musk, SpaceX will launch its first uncrewed Starships to Mars in two years during the next Earth-Mars transfer window.
The goal of the missions is to test the reliability of landing intact on Mars. If these landings go as planned, then the first crewed flight mission to Mars will begin in four years. The flight rate to Mars is expected to grow exponentially from there, with the ultimate goal of building a self-sustaining city on the planet in about 20 years.
