The counting of votes began at 8 am on Saturday. In Maharashtra, all eyes are on the outcome of the battle between the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti coalition and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, which is seeking to make a comeback.
In Jharkhand, the main contest in the state is between the ruling JMM-led INDIA bloc and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) headed by the BJP.
