Elderly woman run over by bus

Ludhiana: An elderly woman was run over by a PRTC bus near Pohir area of Dehlon on Friday. The victim had alighted from another bus and was crossing the road when the incident took place. The victim has been identified as Sangeeta Rani, 60, a resident of Ahmedgarh Mandi .

Dehlon police registered a case against the bus driver, Gurmukh Singh of Patiala on the complaint of the victim’s son, Arun Vinayak. The complainant said that the driver of the bus which hit his mother was driving recklessly. Sangeeta Rani sustained critical injuries and was rushed to government hospital in Malerkotla, where she succumbed.
