With Maharashtra still waiting to get its Chief Minister a week after the counting of votes declared Mahayuti as the winner, the Senior Shiv Sea leader is likely to take a big decision today. A party leader from the Shinde faction, on Friday said that Caretaker CM Eknath Shinde can take a big decision within 24 hours. After a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday, Eknath Shinde suddenly left for his ancestral village in the Satara district.
This led to speculations that Shinde might be upset. However, Shiv Sena leader Uday Samant explained the reason for the CM's visit to his village. He stated that the CM is not upset; rather, he left for his ancestral village in Satara due to fever and cold.
"The reports that he is upset are emerging from the media. We were with Eknath Shinde till early morning. Tomorrow he will be back and it is not as if the meeting takes place physically only, they also take place through video conferencing, mobile.
As Eknath Shinde has said the Maharashtra cabinet will be finalised soon," Uday Samant told ANI.
