?Currently, civil servants are required to spend at least one day a week in the office. On the other four days, they can work from home.The Government wanted them to come into the office for at least two days. Just two. And about this, the public sector unions kicked up a stink last week, instructing their members to simply ignore any such directive and to continue working from home.

They even threatened to ballot for strike action if anyone faced disciplinary action for refusing to swap their slippers for a pair of work shoes.
