Egg-citement everywhere as young Border explorers chase chocolate high

Thousands take part in Good Friday frolic at Junction Square.

It wasn't just a Good Friday, it was a great Friday for hundreds of little egg hunters. or signup to continue reading at Wodonga's Junction Square on April 18 saw children dash, search, and laugh their way through a colourful Easter egg extravaganza. Damien Pilcher, one of the many helpers involved with the event, said being of service to the community was "incredible".

"Events like this in the community have a big impact on people," he said. "We love seeing people come out and enjoy themselves and be happy." , with toddlers [aged 1-2] all the way up to 12-year-olds.



A DJ, face painting and free hot cross buns were among the highlights. New Life Chapel pastor Zoran Paunovich said it was wonderful to bring joy to the community. "We have around 90 volunteers that donate their time on Good Friday, which is incredible," he said.

"We get hundreds of families coming through. We had 745 kids who signed up for the Easter egg hunt and thousands of hot cross buns. "It's a great day out for the whole family.

"The whole church gets behind the event, and we do our best to bring in the spirit." Ps Zoran said money from the event was also raised for the Good Friday Appeal. so we want to help where we can," he said.
