Egbert Quamina Mr. Egbert (Bertie) Quamina passed away peacefully on Oct. 23, 2024, at Jackson Hospital North, located in Miami, Florida.

Egbert Quamina was born in the beautiful countryside of Manzanilla, Trinidad, on Dec. 31, 1935, to Mr. Artherley Quamina and Emelda Wells Quamina, both of whom he proceeds in death.



Egbert Quamina was the sibling to Errol Quamina who lives in Miami, Florida, and Selwin Quamina, with whom he also proceeds in death. In 1969, Egbert Quamina moved from Trinidad to the island of Tortola, located in the British Virgin Island, where he owned and ran the Dairy Company. In the early seventies Egbert and his family moved to St.

Thomas, United States Virgin Island, where they lived in Vester Gade. It was a few years later after bringing the rest of his family to St Thomas they moved to Bovoni; few years later he and his family settled in the family forever house in Frenchtown. Quamina, as he was known by many, worked for Texaco for 25 years until his retirement.

Many people on the island remember Egbert Quamina for his generous spirit, willingness to help others, his commitment to his family, welcoming spirit, and smiles. He viewed life to make a difference and was determined to fix anything even though he may not know how, his no one a stranger attitude resulted in many guests at the dinner table. Mr.

Quamina, who will be-remembered by friends and locals as the captain of his own boat. His passion for fishing, or just trolling the waterways was well known. Mr.

Quamina enjoyed traveling to various places to visit his children in the United States, as well as Haiti, and the Dominican Republic to sponsor and give to those in need. Egbert Quamina who is survived by his wife, Una Quamina, of 60 years and his children, stepson Phillip Beache who he proceeds, William Raymond Quamina, Lorna Helen Dillman, Ann Marie Jean Alstad, Stephan Defour, Maureen Christine Williams, Carlene Quamina, Leon Damion Quamina, Ricky Isidore Quamina, and Vicky Gillian Quamina Lee; his daughter-in-laws, Janet Dawn Quamina and Shirley Renee Quamina, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. The family is planning to hold a memorial service at Walter by Sea, 3:30 p.

m. in St Thomas, Virgin Islands on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, to celebrate his life.
