Wanderers will learn their opponent in the next round of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy when the draw takes place on Friday evening. The Whites finished top of their group following a late victory against Fleetwood last week, with Aaron Collins bagging a brace. Bolton also came out on top against Barrow before drawing against Aston Villa Under-21s, missing out on a bonus point on penalties.

Ian Evat’s men are now guaranteed a home tie and will face one of Crewe, Huddersfield, Lincoln or Bradford, with the draw split into two separate groups. The competition remains regionalised up to the quarter-final stage. The draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports News shortly after 6pm and will be carried out by former QPR winger Jobi McAnuff and ex-Plymouth forward Jamie Mackie.

Round of 32 ties are scheduled to be played in the week commencing Monday, December 9. Knockout games will be settled by penalties if the scores are level after 90 minutes until the final, which will feature extra time if necessary. Wanderers were knocked out by Blackpool on penalties in the quarter-final stage last term.

A year prior, they went all the way following a memorable victory against Plymouth at Wembley.
