Editorial: More blood donations needed

This month, the American Red Cross continues to stress an ongoing, critical need for blood products. Red Cross officials serving the four-county GLOW region said recently that the organization is in the midst of a national blood emergency, largely due to weather events in other parts of the country. This need comes during National Preparedness Month and the Red Cross notes that a strong blood supply is one of the key to being prepared for when disasters and medical emergencies — which currently impact the organization’s efforts — arise.
