Easterlies, Northern Monsoon to bring clouds and rains

The easterlies and the Northern Monsoon (Amihan) are affecting the country on Sunday and will bring rains and clouds, according to the weather forecast of PAGASA.

The easterlies and the Northern Monsoon (Amihan) are affecting the country on Sunday and will bring rains and clouds, according to the weather forecast of PAGASA. Northern Samar, Albay, Sorsogon, and Catanduanes will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands may have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Amihan. No significant impact however is expected. Ilocos Norte may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but no significant impact is expected as well.



Metro Manila and the rest of the country on the other hand may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result during severe thunderstorms. Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Extreme Northern Luzon, Central Luzon and the rest of Northern Luzon.

The rest of the country will have slight to moderate coastal waters. Sunrise was at 6:03 a.m.
