FAMILES enjoyed a cracking day out at Newbury’s Parkway Shopping as the centre hosted a free Easter celebration on Friday. The event, which ran from 10.30am to 2.
30pm, drew crowds of all ages with its vibrant mix of performances and interactive activities. Comedy duo Pete and Ged Moss from Bread and Butter Theatre delivered three hilarious shows entertaining audiences with their dancing, diablo and witty banter. One of the day’s most enchanting moments came courtesy of Fairplay Comedy, who introduced shoppers to Henrietta – a magical hen with a unique talent for laying chocolate eggs.
Visitors were also charmed by giant Easter bunnies on stilts who roamed the Parkway posing for photos with shoppers. The Easter-themed arts and crafts workshop proved hugely popular with hundreds of children creating their own colourful eggs, chicks, and bunny crafts to take home. There was also an Easter trail for children to find clues hidden in the shop windows.
