I love being close to my person, cherishing sweet pets and chin scratches. I’m also a fan of playful moments with cat toys! As the nights cool down, I look forward to curling up by your side for the latest TV shows.

Let’s enjoy cozy evenings together! Jet and Miss Marley: East Bay pets of the weekPumbaa is perfect from his little pointy ears to his intent, hazel eyes. This pup might be a little shy at first, but with time he opens up into a very wiggly, affectionate gentlemen. Pumbaa is a lover of lap naps, back scratches and chasing toys, plus like his cartoon namesake he’s not afraid to strut his stuff through the rain and mud.

This happy 5-year-old is looking for a home where he can take life at his own pace (Hakuna matata!) and spend evenings cozy on the couch next to his favorite human. Pumbaa’s adoption fees are also waived through April 27 as part of our Spring Pit Stop special! Meet him at our Dublin adoption center. The East Bay SPCA offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.

m. to 5 p.m.

Wednesday through Sunday. For updated and real-time information on programs and offerings, visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions.

— East Bay SPCAWest is the perfect balance of youthful energy and chill companion. The 2-year-old has energy, but nothing over the top. He walks well on leash, is affectionate and plays well with other dogs.

This sweet boy is the kind of dog who often gets overlooked in shelters — when the reality is that he’s probably the dog most people are searching for! West would be a great family dog. He’s in a foster home now, so to meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

— FAASCoco and Shiloh are closely bonded 6-month-old kittens that bring out the best in each other. They’re curious, playful and love spending time with their humans. If you’re looking to add two loving companions to your home, these sisters are ready to fill your days with love and purrs.

To meet Coco and Shiloh, contact Judy 925-597-0793. Community Concern for Cats now holds weekend adoption events at Pet Food Express stores in Walnut Creek and Martinez along with our regular location at 1250-H Newell Ave. in Walnut Creek.

But she’s not just looks, she’s also affectionate and loving, gentle and calm. Mia may start out shy but she is people friendly. She loves her toys and will seek you out to have playtime and snuggles.
