External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday slammed Pakistan for fanning terrorism in the country and said, "If you start a terrorism industry you will be consumed by it." While speaking at the Rising Bharat Summit in Delhi, Jaishankar commented on the Balochistan issue, and said, "People are suffering there but if say anything there will be fingure-pointing." Notably, Pakistan has claimed on several occasions that it is India which is propagating terrorism in the country and also destabilising Balochistan and the South Asian countries, after a series of attack on its soil, including the train hijack in Balochistan region in which dozens were killed.

On Pakistan, he said that we have seen people in Pakistan openly claiming that they are involved in terror activities in India. "I don’t have to say it, it’s visible, even they say it. It’s not like I am making an accusation, and everybody in Pakistan is denying it.

You have people in Pakistan who openly declare that they are doing terrorist activity in India. This is not a hypothesis, this is something they proudly claim. All sensible people have maintained that if you start a terrorism industry, you will be consumed by it, and that is what we are seeing today," Jaishankar said.

When asked about the future of SAARC if Pakistan doesn't change its tack to use and employe terrorists, he replied with a question: "Would you be OK if we were nice to each other in the morning and I come and attack your house at night?" When asked about the extradition of 26/11 Mumbai terror co-conspirator Tahawwur Rana from the United States, Jaishankar said that "there is nothing new on the Tahawwur Hussain Rana issue and India welcomes the decision by the American legal process.".
