PHILADELPHIA — Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, for the second practice in a row, appeared mobile and unincumbered by his injured left knee on Friday. “It’s been progressing,” said Hurts, a full participant, who added that he anticipates wearing a brace in Sunday’s NFC Championship game against the Washington Commanders. “It’s been fine, regular routine.

” “Everybody’s worked really hard this week and worked really hard this year to be where we are, so we just want to take advantage of it.” he said. “It’s taken work, it’s taken evolution, it’s taken winning (to get to this point).

” Hurts’ left leg got pinned underneath him on a tackle in the third quarter of the divisional round against the Los Angeles Rams. He soon returned to the field in a brace and finished the game. Center Cam Jurgens (back) participated on a limited basis Friday but didn’t meet with reporters, while tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle) returned to full reps.

“I feel great today,” Goedert said. “It was a great practice out there, I was moving around really well, so I’m really happy with where I’m at.” Cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (shoulder), a nominee for Defensive Rookie of the Year, practiced both Thursday and Friday.

An illness seemed to affect a handful of players earlier in the week but doesn’t appear to be a serious issue. Receiver/punt returner Britain Covey (neck) and defensive tackle Byron Young (hamstring), who have both missed lots of time this season, have been ruled out. For Washington, linebacker Frankie Luvu (shoulder) — who gave Hurts a concussion with a helmet-to-helmet hit on Dec.

22 — defensive end Clelin Ferrell (knee) and linebacker Bobby Wagner (ankle) – were limited on Friday. Guard Sam Cosmi (knee) is out. “They’re a good team,” said Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who has 10 tackles and a forced fumble against the Commanders this year.

“They’ve got some dogs over there, at quarterback (Jayden Daniels), wide receivers and some D-linemen over there that are very good. We already know it’s going to be a little competition. It’s going to be about who wants it the most and who’s going to finish the game.

” *** The Eagles’ Nick Sirianni, who has reached the playoffs in each of his first four seasons as head coach, is heading into his second conference championship game in three years. He attributes much of his success to the relationship he has developed with executive vice president/general manager Howie Roseman. “Obviously, I’m so thankful,” Sirianni said.

“I think a lot of guys that get into head coaching positions go in and sometimes they have a rookie GM with them. “I know I talk a lot about the four offensive and defensive linemen that I inherited when I got here (former C Jason Kelce, former DT Fletcher Cox, RT Lane Johnson and DE Brandon Graham). .

.. But how huge is it that I have an experienced, big-time GM — in my opinion, best GM in the NFL — that’s there to help me go through the course of a first season? “So that was where it started, just how grateful I am for Howie.

Then, yeah, we just talk about everything. Constant communication about everything. Just like I say to the players, you can’t be great without the greatness of others.

I feel that same way about Howie. Without him doing his job great, it’s tough to do your job great. So, just so thankful for him and I can’t say enough about that.

” *** NOTES: Veteran cornerback Darius Slay hasn’t decided whether he’ll play another season, but if he does, he knows it may not be with the Eagles, due to the high dollar he commands. Sunday could be his final game at the Linc. .

.. The Birds’ Zack Baun has the highest defensive grade (91.

1) of any linebacker in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus. Second is Washington’s Bobby Wagner (89.9).

Former Denver Broncos running back Terrell Davis has the most and second-most rushing yards in a season including playoffs (2,476 in 1998 and 2,331 in 1997). The Eagles’ Saquon Barkley currently has 2,329..
