Fans and analysts, as always are looking for people to blame. Some will argue that Saquon Barkley's drop and the subsequent poor defense late are most at fault for the team's loss.
Others point directly to Sirianni and his decision-making himself. In the end, it might just be a little bit of both. Sirianni made a questionable call by going for it early in the contest on fourth-and-four deep in Falcons territory.
By not converting, the Birds kept three points off the board. Later in the game, after Barkley's drop, the Eagles chose to kick a field goal over not going for it on fourth-and-three. At that point late in the game, the Eagles already had the lead.
An extra chance to convert on fourth down would have given the team the win. Instead, Sirianni gave the Falcons a chance on offense. A chance they ended up taking advantage of.
The reality is that Sirianni's in-game decision-making is devoid of consistency and a competent path forward. Each decision feels like it's being made on a whim. Sirianni was never as aggressive as Pederson, and the team is more centric than they were under Reid.
