EA FC 25 is just around the corner, and if you want to get a head-start in Ultimate Team, then the EA FC 25 Companion App is for you. The second instalment of the EA Sports FC game series, EA FC 25 , is set for a worldwide release on Friday, September 27 . But if you pre-ordered EA FC 25 or have got early access to the EA FC 24 successor another way, the game will be available to play on Friday, September 20 .

Usually, players can get their Ultimate Team fix on the Companion App ahead of time, but a change to the EA FC 25 Companion App release date means this is no longer the case. Being able to access Ultimate Team when away from your console or PC has always been a big hit with the Ultimate Team community. After the success of the Web App launch in FIFA 13 , EA Sports revealed the Companion App in FIFA 15 .

The Companion App is a mobile version of Ultimate Team that can be downloaded for free from the App Store or the Google Play Store. We already know when the EA FC 25 Web App will be released, but here's the confirmed EA FC 25 Companion App release date. EA FC 25 Companion App release date confirmed EA Sports has confirmed via a blog post that the EA FC 25 Companion App will be released on Friday, September 20 – one day later than the EA FC 24 Companion App release date last year, and one day later than the FIFA 23 Companion App release too.

Historically, EA Sports releases the Companion App for its EA Sports FC, and previously FIFA, titles one day before the game's early access period begins, but this release date delay now means that this year, the EA FC 25 Companion App will instead go live on the same day that the game becomes playable through early access, so there's no head start for early access players. But, if you don't have early access, you will have a week of Ultimate Team access from the comfort of your phone or tablet before the worldwide release. The Companion App offers the same features as the Web App – players can access Ultimate Team features such as the transfer market, SBCs, and the Ultimate Team Store.

At the same time, you can also build squads and view Objectives and Evolutions. But, one feature that the Companion App has that isn't on the Web App or even the full version of the game is Quick Sell Recovery. This feature allows you to recover any players you have quick sold over the last month, but you can only use this a few times, so choose who you recover carefully.

If you have the EA FC 24 Companion App, an update will become available on the App Store and Google Play Store when the EA FC 25 version becomes available, so there's no new app to download. EA has also confirmed that an EA FC 25 TOTW 1 squad will be available when the early access period begins, so players will be able to access this through the Companion App..
