Dylan Raiola on Dana Holgorsen simplifying Nebraska's offense

Even if Nebraska coaches had listed Dylan Raiola as to day-to-day, he said after Saturday night’s game at USC that there was “no way” he was being held out of a tilt against the Trojans. And Raiola, who left the UCLA game early because of a back contusion, completed 27 of 38 passes for 191 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the 28-20 loss. He did so while working, for the last two weeks, with new play caller Dana Holgorsen, who took over duties when coach Matt Rhule invited Holgorsen to campus.

“We adjusted faster than we thought,” Raiola said. Holgorsen simplified the offense, Raiola said, which seemed to get the five-star freshman more in a rhythm. Raiola said he wants the pass game to be more explosive as NU attempts to qualify for its first bowl since 2016.
