If it wasn't for Fauji, Shah Rukh Khan's debut might have been different. The hit TV show, which aired in 1989, became SRK's acting debut since his other project Dil Dariya got delayed. And here we got an actor with incredible energy, with dreams in his eyes, ready to take on India's entertainment industry, both small and big screen.

You won't believe who the lead actros signed for this particular project were. Fauji 2 might have been announced by filmmaker Sandeep Singh earlier this week, but the one SRK was keen on producing under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment was supposed to star Pulkit Samrat and Roopal Tyagi as the leads. SRK's Fauji 2: Details According to India Today, Pulkit made the big reveal that they even shot in the presence of Shah Rukh who gave them his blessings.
Pulkit said, "(Meeting SRK was) Surreal! I was shooting for the sequel to Fauji and was playing his son in it. That is where I got a chance to shoot with him." Rupal, who has appeared in several TV shows, shared that SRK kissed everyone's forehead, wishing the team and hoping that Fauji 2 was equally successful, and helpful in the careers of everyone involved, just like it did to him.
"This was the muhurat of Fauji 2 and I was the lead. Shah Rukh had absolutely no reason to know each and every casts' name as well as their characters'. But he made efforts to know us all and what characters we were playing.
When he met me, he literally kissed my forehead. In fact, he did that to the entire cast. He kissed everyone's forehead.
He told us, 'I wish what Fauji 1 did for, Fauji 2 does for you.' It's really unfortunate that the show never came on air," Roopal said previously. Being in a project produced by Shah Rukh Khan Pulkit further added, "Just imagine, a guy from Delhi, who has come to Mumbai following SRK’s footsteps gets a chance to play his on-screen son in a show produced by Red Chillies!" The Fukrey actor gushed at the opportunity, stating that, "He shared his trade secrets with me.
He taught me how to own a set and how to use the space around you as an actor. His kind words and his warmth still stay with me. Sadly, the show never took off.

The 13-episode series was directed by Lt. Col.
Raj Kumar Kapoor and followed the training program of Indian Army commandos. It had Shah Rukh Khan in the role of Lt Abhimanyu Rai. Fauji 2 announced Fauji 2 will air on Doordarshan and will star Bigg Boss 17 fame Vikas Jain and Gauahar Khan as Colonel Sanjay Singh and Lieutenant Colonel Simarjeet Kaur respectively.
