Dwayne Johnson is many things: movie star, businessman, and now, confirmed bottle urinator. In a video profile the star filmed for GQ , he himself brought up the allegations that filming on Red One was tainted by his penchant for peeing in empty bottles and showing up extremely late to set. When the interviewer notes that there aren’t really any negative stories to be found about him in the press, Johnson was quick to offer a correction.
“I mean, they tried,” Johnson says. “I pee in a bottle, yeah, that happens.” He laughs as the interviewer follows up to ask about the lateness.
“Yeah that happens, too,” Johnson admits, before clarifying that the amount of late he reportedly was had been exaggerated. “That was a bananas amount.” Johnson goes on to say that the story was “bullshit,” and alludes to it being “a whole other thing.
” The written GQ piece includes accounts from his Red One co-star Chris Evans and director Jake Kasdan, both refuting the allegations that Johnson was egregiously late to set on a regular basis. For good measure, Evans tells a story about Johnson giving away almost $100,000 in cash gifts to the crew out of nowhere. Of course, he doesn’t clarify whether any of that cash made it to the person who had to touch Johnson’s bottles of hot piss, but, hey, at least it’s in a bottle?.
