The Duke of York has raised the funds to remain at Royal Lodge, it has been reported. Prince Andrew’s money has been approved by Sir Michael Stevens, the Keeper of the Privy Purse, as coming from legitimate sources, according to The Times . The Duke, 64, has faced pressure from the King to leave the £30 million ($65 million) estate in Windsor and move into Frogmore Cottage, the former home of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The King axed his younger brother’s 10-strong private security team , forcing the Duke to find millions of pounds to fund future security operations if he wanted to avoid eviction. By insisting he pay for his own security, Buckingham Palace courtiers believed they could force the Duke’s hand into moving into the much smaller Frogmore Cottage..
