Dua Lipa is reportedly set to release a live album. The 29-year-old pop star took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall in London last month, and it has now been revealed not only has the show been filmed for a television special, but will also will be released as a standalone record. A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Dua wanted to give something back to her fans after an amazing year.
She’s dabbled with live releases before, such as with her Brit Awards performance but this is the first time she will release a full live album. "It’s expected to be announced in the coming weeks." Dua's setlist at the Royal Albert Hall was made up of hits such as 'Don’t Start Now' and 'Be the One', as well 'Dance the Night' from 'Barbie' and she even performed a duet of 'Cold Heart' with Sir Elton Jonn.
It is thought that 'An Audience with Dua Lipa' will air on ITV1 at some point before the festive period is out, and that the 'Training Season' hitmaker will follow in the footsteps of Adele and Kylie Minogue with the special, but unlike her predecessors, she will not be taking questions from the audience. Instead, the format of the show will follow that of a concert film, and the news comes just hours ahead of her launching her 'Radical Optimism Tour' in support of her third studio album of the same name. The 'Levitating' singer will kick off her tour Asia on November 5 with shows in Singapore, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand, and will then return in March for performances in Australia and New Zealand.
The tour will then head to Europe in May and June covering cities including Madrid, Spain, Lyon, France, Hamburg, Germany, Amsterdam, Netherlands and Milan, Italy before she lands back on home soil for two massive shows at London's Wembley Stadium on June 20 and 21. Her other UK date will be a stop in Liverpool and she will play a show in Dublin, Ireland before taking the tour across the Atlantic in September for dates in Canada and North America. The North American leg kicks off in Toronto, Canada on September 1 and will take in cities including Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, New York, Miami and Dallas before concluding in Seattle on October 16.
