Chennai: A drunk worker fell into a boiler at a factory in Sriperumbudur when a security guard tried to chase him. As the victim, Srinivasan, arrived at his workplace in an inebriated state, the security guard denied entry and attempted to chase him away. However, Srinivasan ran inside the factory, and while being pursued by the guard, he lost his balance and fell into the boiler.
By the time his co-workers rescued him, Srinivasan had suffered 90% burns. He was rushed to Kilpauk Govt Medical College and Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries on Friday morning.
