A drunk punter who pulled down his trousers and performed a lewd act at bar staff who approached him has appeared in court. Jordan Sinclair, 32, was seen showing a group of pals his penis in The Swan Pub, on Wolviston Road in Billingham , on the evening of April 6, when bar staff came over and asked him to leave. The dad-of-two later said he had been sent a video on his phone and he was "re-enacting it with his penis" as a joke.

But when he was told to leave, he got into a scuffle with staff at the pub. On Wednesday afternoon, Sinclair stood in the dock at Teesside Crown Court as his barrister Gary Wood said that he was "extremely remorseful and embarrassed." Mr Wood said that Sinclair had been trying to amuse his friends, but that he now faces a meeting with bosses at the engineering firm he works at.

"He's very worried," Mr Wood said, "he's adamant his behaviour was a joke, all be it a bad joke." When a DJ hired to work in the pub told Sinclair to leave, in an effort to help the bar staff, Sinclair replied: "Only if you say please" before "pushing the entertainer back by his shoulders." Annelise Haugstad, prosecuting, told the court, ".

..the entertainer fell backwards and hit his head on the door frame.

He told Sinclair: 'The door's there!'. Sinclair kicked a bartender and struck another member of staff to the nose." Sinclair's family watched from the public gallery as the court heard that he had committed a public order matter - and not a sexual offence.

He admitted outraging public decency and using threatening or abusive words. Judge Andrew Latimer told him: "It's clear you were intoxicated. You saw something on your phone and thought it would be amusing to drop your trousers and your pants in front of customers.

"I've had to watch the footage and you were close to other people. One of the bar staff described it as a family pub. There were no children present that night.

"After that disgraceful conduct, the bar staff asked you to leave and you showed complete contempt for them by exposing yourself again." Sinclair, of York Crescent in Billingham, was put under the supervision of the probation service for the next 12-months; he was ordered to carry out 100-hours of unpaid work and pay the prosecution's costs of £400.
