Driver tasered as car ploughs into parked vehicles in police chase

A man has been arrested following a police chase in Eastbourne which led to the driver of a car being tasered. Police were made aware of a suspicious vehicle on Willingdon Road at around 8.20pm yesterday evening (March 10).

Crews pursued the vehicle, a black Mercedes, to Larkspur Drive, where the driver collided with four parked vehicles. The driver decamped the car and a taser was deployed, police said. (Image: Dan Jessup) A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, driving while disqualified and dangerous driving.
