1 2 Pune: Driver of Hinjewadi-based Vyoma Graphics company's staff bus Janardan Humbardikar , who is accused of setting ablaze the vehicle, continued to be under treatment with around 15% burns at Ruby Hall Clinic's ICU in Hinjewadi. Four staffers died and six were hospitalised with burn injuries in the incident around 7.45am on March 19.

The police are waiting for Humbardikar's discharge from the hospital to arrest him in the case wherein charges of murder and attempted murder have been invoked. "His wounds are healing well, but his lower limb is affected and requires physiotherapy to prevent contractures. He is limping while walking and we are monitoring his progress.

He will be discharged once he can walk properly and avail physiotherapy independently, probably by next week," the hospital said in a statement. Deputy commissioner of the Pimpri Chinchwad police Vishal Gaikwad told TOI that apart from burn injuries, the driver also has diabetes and blood pressure issues. "He is under shock and being treated in the hospital's ICU.

He will be arrested after discharge. We have recorded the statements of witnesses and employees of the company," he added. Meanwhile, general surgeon Jaising Shinde of Kasba Peth's Surya Sahyadri Hospital, where another two injured victims are under treatment, said, "The recovery is happening at a steady pace and the patients are clinically stable.

However, an additional 15 days may be required before they are discharged. Our team is monitoring their progress and committed to ensure their recovery." According to the statement of the Ruby Hall Clinic in Hinjewadi, other than Humbardikar, one more injured victim, Sandeep Shinde, is undergoing treatment with them.

Another injured person, Vishwanath Jori, was discharged about two days ago. Humbardikar and Shinde are vitally stable and improving symptomatically..
