Drake accused of copying Kendrick Lamar with 'Super Bowl Halftime performance'

Drake released the music video to him and PARTYNEXTDOOR's hit song 'NOKIA.' Many claimed Drake was copying Kendrick Lamar's style while others came to his defense

Drake dropped the music video to a new song and many called him out after noticing similarities to another rapper's. The Canadian rapper and PARTYNEXTDOOR released the music video to 'NOKIA,' a fan favorite that has been ranking high on the charts. The video starts with a big IMAX logo showcasing that the video was filmed with the systems high resolution cameras.

The NOKIA video featured Carnival dancers, a Toronto model and a cameo by Canadian NBA point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The 4 minute 25 seconds video was full of dancing and different scenes with many viewers making comparisons to Kendrick Lamar and his 'Not Like Us' music video and Super Bowl half time performance . One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: "hate to be one of those guys, but Drake Nokia video is Kendrick inspired Heavily.



Like it's so obvious dawg." Another person posted: "DRAKE PAYS HOMAGE TO KING KENDRICK OR MAYBE HE WAS INSPIRED #NOKIA." A third person wrote: "i’m just clocking drake took inspiration from kendrick’s SBL show and also his pop out show for his nokia video LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" A fourth wrote: "The Kendrick aesthetic in Drake’s Nokia music video is killing me [laughing face emoji] he even did a mini west coast dance #hilarious.

" Others believe Drake was "trolling" Kendrick with similar dances and moments in the video like the owl at the end that Kendrick as used at the end of the 'Not Like Us' video. One person wrote: "Drake using the correct ovo owl in #Nokia, much to Kendrick’s chagrin." Another person wrote: "Drake trolling Kendrick Lamar with Nokia and a music video in IMAX.

" The feud between the two rapper first ignited in 2013 when Kendrick first started taking public jabs at Drake, and has since escalated to include multiple diss tracks.
