Following the biggest title reveals the other day, several more films are now said to be coming to the Super Bowl. has confirmed the prior report that “Jurassic World: Rebirth” and “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning” will be getting spots, and indicating that two out of this year’s three Marvel Studios films will be getting spots – with a strong hint that one of them is “Fantastic Four: The First Steps”. Newly confirmed is that Universal is expected to have a spot for their live-action take on “How To Train Your Dragon,” while Paramount will show off spots for the “Smurfs” animated musical movie starring Rihanna, and one for the Jack Quaid-led action film “Novocaine”.
Also expected, but not confirmed, is spots for other Disney fare, with the live-action “Snow White” and “Lilo & Stitch” potentially getting spots, as might Disney’s animated “Elio”. Universal may also do a spot for a Blumhouse title with “M3GAN 2.0” a possibility.
Shot down is a rumor that Apple will have a trailer for “F1,” Apple Studios is expected to be sitting out this year as are Sony, Warner Bros, Netflix, Amazon MGM Studios and Lionsgate. Disney and Universal had the five most watched Superbowl spots last year with “Deadpool & Wolverine,” “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” “Wicked,” “Twisters” and “Despicable Me 4”..
