He said the announcement may be made during the townhall session titled ‘Sarawak Agenda with the Sarawak Premier.
’ “There could be a surprise shared by the Sarawak Premier during the public dialogue session later this afternoon or at the dinner event tonight. So, let’s all wait for it together,” he said when met by reporters during the event at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) here today. Regarding the programme, Fadillah noted there was an increase in the number of exhibitors at this year’s edition.
“This programme is eagerly awaited by Sarawakians living in Peninsular Malaysia, whether they are with their families, working, running businesses, or studying here. “This year’s edition has seen a rise in the number of exhibitors, with many from various sectors, including state and federal government agencies, as well as industry players,” he explained. He said various activities were organised, such as career talks, sales booths, cultural performances, Sarawak cuisine and more.
“I would like to thank all the parties involved in this programme, which is sponsored by the state government. One of the most anticipated events is the public dialogue session with the Sarawak Premier, which is eagerly awaited by our students,” he said. Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak is an annual event organised by Sarawak Volunteers (previously under the Sarawakian Peninsula Association) since 2008.
Originally started as a small-scale programme to gather Sarawakians living in Peninsular Malaysia, particularly the Klang Valley, it has now grown into one of the key events eagerly awaited by Sarawakians. The programme serves as a platform for Sarawakians to meet key leaders of the Sarawak government and provides an opportunity to learn about government policies and initiatives aimed at developing and advancing Sarawak. The programme also offers Sarawakian students in Peninsular Malaysia a chance to gather and celebrate Sarawak’s culture and traditions, as well as an opportunity to share ideas and aspirations with the Sarawak Premier through the public dialogue session.
