New proposals could see multiple traffic waiting restrictions brought into an area of Bolton. The restrictions could happen in Astley Bridge, where double yellows could be introduced in more than a dozen locations. A proposed temporary traffic order submitted by the council outlines plans to bring in no waiting "at any time" restrictions, as well as rules which only restrict waiting at certain times of the day.

The council is inviting residents to have their say on the proposals. Proposals for there to be no waiting "at any time" could be brought in at the junction of Templecombe Drive and Belmont Road, as well as further down the former road. They could be rolled out on Belmont Road between its junctions with Shoreswood and Wilkinson Road, as well as at the beginnings of the latter two roads.

No waiting at any time restrictions could also be brought in at the junctions of Blackburn Road and Stonyhurst Avenue and Thorncliffe Road. Some of the proposals for Ashworth Lane (Image: Bolton Council) Also proposed for Blackburn Road are no waiting restrictions between 7.30am and 9.

No waiting on Ashworth Lane between Whitegate Drive and Ornatus Street is also proposed between 7.30am and 6.30pm on Saturdays.
