Dorchester County opens new health and social services building in Summerville

A ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Nov. 15, celebrated the opening of a new Dorchester County Health and Social Services building in the former Bi-Lo location at 1452 Boone Hill Road in Summerville. Speakers highlighted the collaboration among staff, developers and contractors in repurposing the space to serve the community better.

The facility will offer comprehensive services, including childcare, adult services and economic programs, serving more than 1,000 cases annually..
