Doosan Robotics is accelerating its overseas market expansion following North America and Europe by supplying a large number of collaborative robots to Southeast Asia. The company announced on February 5th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with VRNJ, a robot system integration (SI) firm based in Bangkok, Thailand, to supply 300 collaborative robots. Under this agreement, Doosan Robotics will supply VRNJ with 300 units of its four collaborative robot models (Series A, H, M, P) over two years, starting with an initial order of 60 units.

The two companies will also collaborate to develop various solutions for production sites and explore demand markets in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The M Series includes a built-in torque sensor (force sensor) on all six rotary axes, allowing rapid braking even with an external impact as light as 0.2 Newtons (20g), showcasing top industry performance and safety.

The A Series offers an affordable price with excellent acceleration performance and incorporates advanced safety algorithms, achieving the highest level in safety performance evaluation conducted by TÜV SÜD, an international testing and certification body. The H Series can handle a payload of 25 kg, managing heavy objects stably while the robot itself weighs only 75 kg, half that of other companies' products. With torque sensors on all six axes, it can be flexibly deployed in tight spaces or on mobile robots without fences.

The P Series, which began mass production in the latter half of last year, is a collaborative robot specialized in palletizing for arranging or loading goods onto pallets during logistics and transport processes, and boasts industry-leading payload and working radius. Together with VRNJ, Doosan Robotics plans to supply manufacturing solutions incorporating collaborative robots to production sites in Southeast Asia, including parts finishing, palletizing, inspection, and pick-and-place operations. "Southeast Asia is emerging as a second production hub after China, with new factories increasing.

There is strong demand for applying collaborative robots to enhance productivity and ensure worker safety during the factory setup phase," said Junghoon Ryu, CEO of Doosan Robotics. "We will strengthen collaboration with local SI companies and enhance marketing activities to lay the foundation for large-scale orders.".
