The English actress, 45, flashed her model svelte physique as she struck a pose in the mirror before taking a dip.

The Split star, who shares daughter Freya Aspinall with ex Damian Aspinall, looked nothing short of sensational in the swimsuit snap. Donna shot to fame at just ten years old on the iconic BBC series Byker Grove. She was just 21 when she met and fell in love with multimillionaire Damian, who was 40 at the time .

They were introduced at a dinner party in 2000 by their mutual friend, former It Girl Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, and went on to have a seven year relationship, before their amicable split in July 2007. Donna Air, 45, showed off her age-defying figure in a red and white swimsuit as she posed for a sexy Instagram snap on Wednesday Damian, owns The Aspinall Foundation, which partners with Howletts Wild Animal Park, founded by his father John Aspinall. The Aspinall Foundation is British charity founded in 1984 that strives to promote wildlife conservation and return captive animals back to the wild, while also running projects abroad to protect endangered species.

It runs both Howletts and Port Lympne park, which is set in 600 acres and houses many rare and endangered species, with the largest breeding herd of black rhinos in the UK. Freya has inherited her father's love of conservation and dedicates her time to caring for various animals in the sanctuary and is being lined up to one day inherit his position as chair of the Aspinall Foundation. She has also inherited her mother's stunning good looks and became the youngest model on the books of Storm, the agency discovered by Kate Moss , in 2018.

But rather than pass most of her time on the runway, she spends her days in the park caring for orphaned lion cubs and gorillas, or in Africa to release them back into the wild. The influencer uses her Instagram to promote the importance of conversation work, sharing heartwarming videos of her cuddling with big cats and feeding gorillas by hand in their enclosures, raking in an impressive 1.5million followers.

Freya has shown she's not a typical 'nepo baby', with it being reported that when she signed her modelling contract she insisted she would use her profile to promote conservation issues. Speaking to the Financial Times, she admitted: 'I grew up with animals and couldn't imagine my world without them.

This is in my blood – I've always known what I wanted to do.' And it's no wonder she shares such a close bond with animals, after being placed in in a gorilla enclosure at Howletts as a baby to be carried off by the female of the group. It was a ritual Damian had carried out with his first two daughters, Tansy and Clary, from his 15-year marriage to Louise Sebag-Montefiore.

Describing his plans for Freya at the time, he told London's Evening Standard: 'It's a ritual. I'll probably give her to the dominant female who will take her off, sex her, and introduce her to the others. I did this with my other daughters, now it's Freya's turn.

' While Donna fully approved of the plan because she did not believe that Freya would be in any danger. Damian added: 'Why would I not trust them? I know them, I grew up with them. They are my friends'.

And Freya is certainly not afraid of getting up and close to exotic animals at the family wildlife park. She's often seen cuddling and feeding treats to a pair of gorillas, Silverback Kifu and Tambabi, that she has known since birth.

After building up decades of trust with the pair, Freya and her father are the only people who are able to interact with the gorillas like this safely. Howletts Wild Animal Park said: 'This type of interaction takes years of trust, love and respect. 'Nobody other than Freya or Damian enters their enclosure with them.

[Building this trust is done via] No tricks, no shortcuts, just years of love, mutual respect and trust.' They added: 'Freya has been around animals in this way since she was a baby. 'Animals are honest.

If the gorillas didn't want to interact with Freya and Damian they would let them know with their body language before they enter the enclosure.' The animals have really hijacked me; they are who I am now. I’m with these animals every day' She reared cubs, Zemo and Zala, after their mother sadly died from a uterus infection and has shared touching footage of her sharing a bed with the orphaned lions, who she's preparing for life in the wild. However, she makes it clear to her followers that she does not plan to domesticate the animals, explaining: 'If you are wondering why there are lions in the house, don't get the wrong impression — they are not pets at all.

'I have to hand raise them after their mother died and at night they sleep with me as they would with their mother as I am their primary carer when they are old enough they will be rewilded back to Africa. 'There is NO humanising or domesticating at all!!! If anything they lionise me! Anyone that meets the lions can testify this. This needs to be explained as their are a lot of people on social media that use animals and domesticate them as pets this is not the case at all! 'If I was not doing this and hand raising them they would be dead.

We will rewild them where they belong. 'I wanted to post this photo to change the narrative for people to stop just seeing animals as pets instead look at this image and see the beauty behind it with the story of rewilding and sending animals back to the wild'.
