Organizer of Christmas and Thanksgiving fundraisers is back with an Easter food drive

The public is invited to hop on by a food bank fundraiser on Saturday, April 12 outside the Langley Walmart. “The need in our community is greater than ever, and we’re excited to host an event that not only raises awareness but also provides direct support,” said Jared Evans, co-organizer. “We encourage everyone to stop by, say hello, and contribute in any way they can.

Every item and every dollar makes a difference.” The event runs from 9 a.m.

to 5 p.m. at the store, 20202 65 Ave.

Walmart is once again allowing the volunteers to gather up donations which will go to the Langley Food Bank. This is hosted by the same volunteers who have held drives for food, pet supplies, and toys at other times of the year, including Christmas and Thanksgiving. "We are so thankful to Walmart and their customers for being so generous at this event every year.

It really helps us with our clients from Langley to feed their families," said Jim Calamunce, V.P. of public relations for the Langley Food Bank.

People can donate non-perishable food items, canned goods, and money to support local families in need. This event, co-organized by Evans and Augustino Duminuco, will collect donations for the Langley Food Bank and Infinite Expansion Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful to Walmart for providing us with this opportunity to make a real impact in our community,” said Duminuco, co-organizer and president of the Infinite Expansion Foundation.

“This event is about more than just collecting donations; it’s about bringing people together to support one another and ensure that no family goes without this Easter.” The foundation which serves youth throughout the Lower Mainland, focuses on financial literacy and community engagement. The is at 20308 Logan Ave.
