U.S. President Donald Trump is happy that Tiger Woods is dating his son's ex-wife, Vanessa, but admitted that he was sad to see her relationship end with Donald Trump Jr .

Trump was signing executive orders at the White House on Monday, including one that will curb ticket scalping, which will stop sports tickets being resold for an inflated price. On the topic of sports, Trump was asked about Woods, who is now dating Trump Jr's ex-wife. Woods issued a public statement confirming the relationship with Vanessa on March 23 after heavy speculation, and Trump's daughter, Ivanka, gave her blessings .

Donald Trump is also happy for the couple, and believes that Woods is a great guy after speaking about his close relationship with the golf legend. "I love Tiger and I love Vanessa," Trump said at the White House on Wednesday. "Tiger actually called me a few months ago.

I have a very special relationship with Tiger. He's a fanatic guy. I said Tiger that's good.

I'm very happy for both." Trump did, however, go on to speak about Vanessa's previous relationship with his son and express sadness that they're no longer together. Trump also admitted that her relationship with Donald Jr.

was impacted by the June 2016 scandal that saw him meet with a Russian lawyer. "They (Donald Jr. and Vanessa)had a great relationship," Trump added.

"I happen to think the relationship with my son was hurt very badly with the witch hunt. 'Russia, Russia, Russia'. All the c--- they put Don through.

"Vanessa and Don have a great relationship. Five great children. They broke up quite a while ago, which to me was very sad.

" Trump's relationship with his son was tested when running for his first term as U.S. President, as Donald Jr.

met with Kremlin-linked lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower. Accusations were made against Trump Jr. as there was an ongoing conspiracy that Russia helped Trump get elected over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

The president denied any collusion and maintained that it was totally legal, instead branding it as "the greatest political witch hunt in history." At the time, Trump posted on Twitter, now known as X: "Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower. "This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics - and it went nowhere.

I did not know about it!" The scandal also fell as Trump Jr. and Vanessa were separating, officially divorcing in 2018 after 13 years of marriage. According to President Trump, his son and Vanessa still share a friendly relationship as parents to five children.

Fans were shocked when Woods announced his love for Vanessa just weeks after rumors began circling, but the golfer has a history of breaking news himself to stop false information. In the post that included photos of Woods and Vanessa together, the legendary golfer wrote: "Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! "We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.
