Donald Glover’s Australia and New Zealand tour is being canceled due to his “recovery” from surgery "taking longer than expected." The multi-hyphenate entertainer, who performs under the moniker Childish Gambino , released a statement to ticket holders notifying them this week that the tour was axed, per ABC’s triple j, according to People. "Unfortunately, my path to recovery is taking longer than expected," Donald said, per the outlets.

"I really appreciate the support you have shown and know that I will do what I can to give u an exceptional experience when the time is right. Thank you." Donald’s tour cancellation news comes in the wake of him revealing that he’d be nixing his previously postponed tour dates for North America, the U.
K., and Europe. This was shortly after they were supposed to wrap.
"After my show in New Orleans, I went to the hospital in Houston to make sure of an ailment that had become apparent," he wrote in a statement shared on social media. "After being assessed, it became clear I would not perform that night, and after more tests, I could not perform the rest of the US tour in the time asked. As of now I have surgery scheduled and need time out to heal.
" Donald added: "My path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously. With that said, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the North American tour and the UK and European dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.
" The Atlanta star started his last tour as Childish Gambino in support of Bando Stone and the New World, which dropped in July. A month into his North American tour, Donald revealed that he’d be postponing a show in Houston on September 9, because of an “illness.” The next day, the Emmy-winning creator postponed the rest of his tour, writing online that he needed "to focus” on his “physical health for a few weeks.
