The Miami Dolphins made it official with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on Monday afternoon. Tagovailoa, who suffered a concussion during a Thursday night game against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 12, is set to return, possibly as soon as this week.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel announced that Tagovailoa was set to be activated from the IR and he could return to practice on Wednesday, possibly playing this weekend. There were doubts about Tagovailoa's future in football, following his latest concussion, but he's apparently determined to play again. "Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa will practice Wednesday and they are hopeful everything goes well for him to clear concussion protocol and play Sunday vs.

Cardinals, per HC Mike McDaniel," Cameron Wolfe reported. Eric Espada/Getty Images When healthy, Tagovailoa and the Dolphins have been a playoff team in the AFC. They fell to the Chiefs in the postseason last season and entered the 2024 regular season with playoff hopes.

Miami has gone 2-4 this season, losing three of four games without their starting quarterback, but it sounds like Tagovailoa will be returning to the field soon. The Dolphins are scheduled to take on the Cardinals on Sunday at 1 p.m.
