The New York Jets' bye week couldn't come soon enough this season. Entering the year with high expectations with a healthy Aaron Rodgers and a dominant defense returning from 2023, the Jets have been a massive disappointment, to say the least. One massive move the team made to try and change their momentum came before the trade deadline, when they acquired All-Pro receiver Davante Adams, reuniting him with Rodgers, which was apparently his request.
Ed Mulholland-Imagn Images Since acquiring Adams, the Jets are 1-4, and while the star receiver has had some decent performances, his connection with Rodgers has not produced the same results that it did with the Green Bay Packers. During an appearance on Kay Adams' "Up & Adams" show , the Jets receiver asked if he regretted joining the team. "Hindsight is always 20/20...
We're talking about playing with Aaron Rodgers here. This isn't like taking some crazy gamble, going somewhere with some rookie who's unproven. Neither of us have played nearly as good as we're capable of playing.
When you're rolling the dice, you hope that it's favoring you more. You got trick dice, it still might not work. We're trying to do everything we can, and (we're) still going.
" While Adams doesn't seem to be too upset, things can't be going the way he expected, especially since Rodgers has not looked like the same player he used to.
