Doctor held for torturing his wife

Chennai: A doctor has been arrested for sexually abusing his 26-year-old wife at Ambathur on Friday. Police said the doctor, Mohammad, 30, residing at an apartment complex in Korattur, was married to the woman eight months ago. He was working at a private hospital in the locality.

The woman lodged a complaint at Ambathur All Women Police Station, alleging that her husband had been harassing her physically and forcing her for sex since the day of their marriage. The doctor also picked up a fight when she opposed to his attempts. The woman said she had been bearing the torture for the past eight months and had come out to complain now.
