Dive Into Decadence at Lionfish Modern Coastal Cuisine With Dishes in January

Lionfish Modern Coastal Cuisine, Clique Hospitality’s dining destination located at Pendry San Diego, will reel in the flavors in January with a trio of featured offerings in honor of National Oysters Rockefeller Day, the San Diego Rodeo and National Peking Duck Day.

Love oysters, steak and Peking Duck? You’re in luck. Li onfish Modern Coastal Cuisine , Clique Hospitality ’s dining destination located at Pendry San Diego, will reel in the flavors in January with a trio of featured offerings in honor of National Oysters Rockefeller Day, the San Diego Rodeo and National Peking Duck Day. Lionfish will celebrate National Oysters Rockefeller Day with an innovative twist on the classic dish: fresh Baja oysters on the half-shell layered with spinach, herb crumble, masago arare, yuzu butter sauce, bacon and parmesan, garnished with ikura.

The specialty dish will be priced at $30 and available exclusively on Thursday, Jan. 9 and Friday, Jan. 10.



Guests can saddle up for a rodeo-inspired culinary experience with the Cowboy Steak and Crown Your Way , available in honor of the San Diego Rodeo at nearby Petco Park. The pairing, featuring a juicy bone-in New York steak with cowboy butter, red-eye gravy and onion rings and a Crown Royal Blended Canadian Whisky cocktail of choice, will be priced at $80. The rodeo special will be available from Friday, Jan.

10 through Sunday, Jan. 12. Lionfish will celebrate National Peking Duck Day on Saturday, Jan.

18 with a featured dish of a half Peking Duck , served with a scallion pancake, negi, pickled cucumber and house hoisin, priced at $45. All month long, those indulging in Dry January can complement the delicious dishes with Lionfish’s refreshing mocktails, including the Cucumber Refresher , which offers a light and crisp alternative, blending house-made cucumber honeydew juice, muddled mint, lime juice and soda; or the Autumn Dream , a seasonal favorite with Liquid Alchemist blood orange syrup, lemon juice and Tropical Red Bull, balancing tangy and sweet, both priced at $10. Led by Executive Chef and James Beard Smart Catch leader JoJo Ruiz, Lionfish offers a full menu of fresh-catch seafood, prime meats, locally sourced ingredients and expertly crafted cocktails.

The restaurant is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, from 5 to 10 p.
