Dispute over playing song in bus carrying bride’s relatives, case against four including retd police officer

The wedding was held yesterday. The fight broke out over playing a song in the bus carrying the bride’s relatives. While people were getting down from the bus to the auditorium, a verbal argument broke out leading to a major fight.



The complaint is that Ansy, her husband Shefeeq and their one-and-a-half-year-old son Shefan were physically assaulted by Faisal, Shahid, retired police officer Jalaluddin and Shaji. When the police arrived and tried to solve the problem, they were also attacked. The police registered a case against four in connection with the incident.

Faisal and Shahid were produced in the court and remanded. The sub inspector was injured after the accused under the influence of alcohol attacked him. He then sought treatment at Nedumangad District Hospital.

During the assault, the inspector’s phone fell on the ground and broke. Ansi and his son were injured in the clash and have been admitted to the district hospital. Her child was later shifted to the SAT hospital due to the injuries in the stomach and head.
