Dismay for plantation sector

THE plantation sector was left ruing when Budget 2025 was announced. There were no allocations for replanting, mechanisation or automation, or much of what Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, had lobbied for. The only positive was the higher revised windfall profit levy by about RM150 per tonne.
