Disabled former city police officer asks pension be unfrozen

I am a former Waterbury police officer who retired with a disability in 1982. I have had seven surgeries so far. When I retired, our contract said we would not receive any cost-of-living adjustments to our pensions, but two mayors gave us 10% raises about 30 years ago.

It is very hard living on this pay. l worked as a police officer during riots and storms. I hope the city can do more to help.
