It may still be a debate that rumbles on as to whether Die Hard is in fact a Christmas movie, but one thing's for certain - it's a thrilling, iconic action film, and one which warrants a rewatch each December, no matter its categorisation. Bruce Willis stars in the 1988 movie as police detective John McClane, who takes on a group of German terrorists led by Alan Rickman's Hans Gruber, when they take all those inside a tower block hostage. Die Hard was released in the summer, one point against its categorisation as a Christmas film - however, it is set on Christmas Eve, and features a number of seasonal songs in its soundtrack, from offbeat picks like Run-DMC's Christmas in Hollis to more traditional festive fare such as Winter Wonderland as sung by Bing Crosby.
Meanwhile, the film also includes a couple of well-known pieces of classical music, and an original score written by prolific film composer Michael Kamen.
