Competing to scoop the Glitterball trophy is comedian Chris McCausland and his pro partner Dianne Buswell , who has been promised a huge gift from her boyfriend Joe Sugg if the pair make it to the anticipated final. Dianne, who was partnered with YouTuber Joe when he competed on Strictly in 2017, took to Instagram last weekend to reveal what he had promised - but only if she makes it to the end. The Australian professional dancer, 35, reshared a photo from Joe's Instagram Story that showed her holding up a giant silver Christmas tree made up of baubles, tinsel and mini disco balls.
The caption, written by Joe, said: " I've said we can get one if they get to the final." Dianne beamed in the photo as she held up the festive decoration that could be hers in a matter of weeks if everything goes to plan on Strictly. Chris and Dianne's chances of scooping up the Glitterball trophy are high as they've already been labelled the favourites to win by viewers.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan wrote: One viewer said: "Chris has been my winner from week one and I can't see that changing." Commenting on one of their performances, a second said: "Really rooting for Chris & Dianne. Hoping they make it all the way to the final & win.
So impressive to do those lifts without being able to see & then the little extra flourish at the end. Utterly fab-u-lous!!" A third shared: "I flipping love Chris and Dianne so much!! The trust and well just everything within their partnership amazes me so much! Just amazing!! Was such a joyous dance and I still end up with tears in my eyes." "I have nothing to say except @chrismccausland and @dbuzz6589 MUST win the series! It's just phenomenal to see!! There's a lot of fabulous dancers this year and I'm enjoying them all but Chris to win with Tasha in the final also", another penned.
Chris is the first-ever blind contestant to take part in Strictly, with him and Dianne being applauded for working together to create perfect routines on the dancefloor. One viewer expressed on X: "I'll be a Chris McCausland stan until the end of time, and the way Dianne Buswell teaches him each week, and he just somehow gets it will forever blow my mind. He did a good job in his Paso Doble and sold it to me.
" Just last week, viewers were left in tears after the dancing duo were able to perform in front of Dianne's parents, who had travelled from Australia, something they had been aiming for in the competition. For the occasion, Chris and Dianne performed a Paso Doble, which left her parents, Mark and Rina, in floods of tears. Fans flocked to X to comment on the emotional moment, as one wrote: "MARK AND RINA HAVE ME SOBBING I'M SO HAPPY CHRIS & DIANNE ARE STILL IN SO WE COULD GET THIS MOMENT.
" A second noted: "Not Dianne's dad crying, I'm sobbing #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing." Another penned: "Chris absolutely slayed such a tricky dance ..
. And Dianne's parents!!! #strictly." Another added: "Shirley (I'm not her biggest fan btw) saying she'll get Dianne her own little glitterball - oh, bless her.
Dianne is a teaching goddess #strictly.".
