Diana Taurasi will go down as one of the best WNBA players ever but she'll want a take about rookie phenom Caitlin Clark back. Back in April, Taurasi was discussing Clark and how she looked great against college players but will have to adjust to playing against women who have been in the pros for a long time. "There are levels to this thing and that's just life.

We all went through it. You see it on the NBA side and you're going to see it on this side where you look superhuman playing against 18-year-olds but you're gonna come with some grown women that have been playing professional basketball for a long time," Taurasi said . Kate Frese/Getty Images Scott Van Pelt remembered that take and thinks Taurasi had it wrong.

"I think Taurasi had it wrong. I think she was the reality. I think Caitlin, they should call her the reality because she was coming and she's here in this league.

She's been great," Van Pelt said . Clark is a top favorite to win WNBA Rookie of the Year after she finished the regular season averaging 19.2 points, 8.

4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game. She helped the Fever make the playoffs and will try to help them win their first-round series against the Connecticut Sun.

Game 1 will be on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
