Diana Hamilton It was heaven on earth at this year’s edition of the annual gospel event dubbed ‘Awake Experience with Diana Hamilton’ held at the auditorium of ICGC, Christ Temple East in Teshie, as selected ministers of God graced the concert with powerful ministrations. The much-hyped gospel event, organised by the award-winning gospel musician Diana Hamilton and her management team, brought together gospel artistes, Christians and music fans on one stage to celebrate Christ last Sunday. The theme for this year’s Awake Experience concert was “Move,” and it featured incredible performances from some selected gospel artistes who gave outstanding performances to entertain their various fans.
In a packed auditorium, a section of music fans were spotted singing and dancing as the performing artistes took to the stage one after the other. The headline act, Diana Hamilton, stormed the stage with so much energy and performed most of her popular songs, including ‘Victory Praise’, ‘Adom’, ‘Awurade Ye’, ‘Monto Yehowa Nwom’ and ‘Nyansabuakwa Nyame’ among others. Her thrilling performances, BEATWAVES gathered, have solidified her brand as one of the most sought-after gospel acts in Ghana as well as on the African continent.
The concert also witnessed historic performances from Kweku Teye, who thrilled patrons with his medley gospel songs, causing a shift in the atmosphere. ‘The Awake Experience with Diana Hamilton’ concert is an interdenominational gospel concert held annually in Accra, Kumasi and Sunyani. The Kumasi edition of the event will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Church of Pentecost, Bantama, and it will feature acts like Uncle Ato, Cindy Thompson, Mabel Okyere, and Quame Gyedu.
