Bollywood actress and environmental activist Dia Mirza has strongly denied claims made by Telangana's Chief Minister regarding her involvement in circulating fake, AI-generated videos related to the recent protests over the proposed auction of 400 acres of forest land in Gachibowli, Hyderabad.The controversy erupted after the Chief Minister posted a tweet on April 6, 2025, addressing the situation at Kancha Gachibowli. In his message, he alleged that Mirza had shared AI-generated images and videos to support student protests aimed at preserving the biodiversity of the contested land.Responding to these allegations, Dia took to Twitter, stated, “The CM of Telangana posted a tweet yesterday. He made certain claims about the situation at Kancha Gachibowl.” She added, “One of them was that I had used FAKE AI generated images/videos in support of the protest by students to protect biodiversity on the 400 acres of land the government wanted to auction. This is an absolutely false statement. I have not posted a single image or video that is AI generated. He held a review meeting on the issue and related court cases with Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and D Anasuya (Seethakka), Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, DGP Jitender, and others.Officials informed the CM that several celebrities were misled by AI-generated videos and responded on social media, pushing the matter into national focus.
