Director Venky Atluri is enjoying the triumph of his film Lucky Baskhar starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The suspense drama which hit screens on 31 October, was recently released on OTT and it is winning praise from fans. For Venky Atluri, Lucky Baskhar isn't his first taste of success, his previous venture Vaathi (in Tamil) Sir (in Telugu) was also a box office hit.
Venky Atluri praises Dhanush Speaking to a media portal, Venky Atluri spoke about how Dhanush came on board in Vaathi when other heroes said no. He said that several popular actors wanted him to change the climax of Vaathi, but since he was not willing to compromise, they chose not to sign the film. He said "Left with no choice, I went to Dhanush and narrated the film.
He listened to the story, clapped, and loved the climax. Even I was shocked as he was okay with the unique ending of the film, and that’s how he came on board”. Vaathi was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu.
