New Delhi: Gold prices declined for the second straight day across major Indian cities on Dhanteras (October 29), despite the festive season that usually drives strong demand for the yellow metal. The prices fell by Rs 490 per 10 grams. In early trade on Tuesday, 24-karat gold was priced at Rs 79,790 per 10 grams in Mumbai and Rs 79,940 in Delhi.
Market experts believe that easing geopolitical tensions—following Israel's limited attacks on Iran—has also contributed to the downward movement in gold prices. Global Gold Market Trends In the international market, spot gold rose 0.27 per cent to $2,749 an ounce during Asian trade on Tuesday.
